Create Livelihood: Employment for Tribal and Under Previlaged Women with Micro and Small Enterprises
THE PROBLEM:
During this COVID 19 pandemic, the vulnerability of people living in extreme poverty and crisis settings is increasing, while employment opportunities for under prevailaged and tribal women is decreasing.
Usually Tribal women and under previlaged women are willing to work but due to lack of education they are not able to develop skills in order to meet rrequirements for doing jobs that will help them financially.
What is this Campaign about?
This project helps underprevilaged and tribal women gain the necessary training and skills to work in jobs that will help them sustain themselves. Anu Aggarwal foundation works with tribal women all across India with the help of micro and small enterprises who inturn help us to develop these skills and train these women.
What we do:
The primary indicators of the deprivation of the tribal particularly women are household consumption, literacy, work participation, political empowerment and decision making.

What have we done to date?
Anu Aggarwal Foundation has partnered with various NPO’s within Northern India which provide employment opportunities for under prevailaged and tribal women.
Where we are today?
We have served more than 30 NPO’s across India which provide employment opportunities for unskilled women. We have conducted training sessions for cotton yarns as well as other textile processing operations where such type of skills are required.
About Organization:
Anu Aggarwal Foundation is a Mumbai based NGO, focused on distributing nutritious food to the poor and needy along with clothes, education for children, skill development amongst women and basic necessities support across the country. The aim of this campaign is “Eliminate Hunger in India” in a nation where the rich-poor divides are stark and while a million splurges on good food, we find it unacceptable that even bigger millions of people have to go to bed hungry without any means for food of nutrition.
What is our goal?
Our Goal is to provide food, shelter and education to over 10,000 Tribal women and under prevailaged women throughout India. To reach our goal we have to raise approximately ₹2,80,00,000. Our cost for education per child per month comes upto ₹2800/- only.
